Senior Mechanical Estimator

Overview

Senior Mechanical Estimator role in a family-run business focusing on building services for a range of projects. You will prepare estimates for design-and-build mechanical packages, review drawings and specs, and manage take-offs and tender prices. You’ll own projects and collaborate with design, purchasing, clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors to drive competitive bids. Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates for design-and-build mechanical packages
• Complete material and labour take-offs
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors
• Attend tender meetings and site visits
• Support and oversee another estimator within the team

Key requirements

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services
• Experience with new-build construction projects preferred
• Commercial building services experience also considered
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical tender information
