Role Summary
This role offers a conveyancing professional the opportunity to work alongside experienced fee earners on a diverse caseload, building valuable technical competence across the full property transaction lifecycle. Joining a supportive departmental structure, you will take on genuine file-handling responsibilities, engage directly with clients, and support junior colleagues, giving you the platform to advance your legal career.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and draft replies to additional enquiries raised by buyers’ solicitors, sharpening your technical drafting abilities and deepening your legal knowledge across property matters.
- Manage post-exchange and post-completion processes, including accounts coordination and Land Registry and Companies House registrations, providing you with comprehensive technical mastery over the entire transaction cycle.
- Liaise directly with clients in person and by telephone, strengthening your client-facing communication skills and building professional rapport.
- Support fee earners with legal research, diary coordination, and guidance for junior colleagues, giving you exposure to complex file management and foundational supervisory experience.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience working within a residential conveyancing team, handling day-to-day file administration and support.
- Working knowledge of the conveyancing lifecycle, particularly enquiry handling, completion preparation, and Land Registry processes.
- Strong numeracy and computer literacy, alongside keen attention to detail when working under pressure and to strict deadlines.
- Clear, professional communication skills across written correspondence and direct client interactions.
