We’re partnering with a leading, well-established food manufacturing business to recruit a Packaging Technologist to join its team in Batley.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with the Head of Packaging, taking ownership of exciting packaging projects across development, innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement.
The opportunity
You’ll play a key role in bringing new packaging solutions to life, from initial development and testing through to successful implementation on production lines.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading packaging development and industrialisation projects.
- Planning and managing packaging trials within a manufacturing environment.
- Evaluating new materials, formats and packaging specifications.
- Working closely with production teams to troubleshoot packaging challenges.
- Supporting packaging innovation, sustainability and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external packaging suppliers.
What we’re looking for
We’d love to speak with candidates who have experience in packaging technology, packaging development or packaging engineering, ideally within food manufacturing or a similar FMCG environment.
You’ll ideally have:
- A good understanding of packaging materials, processes and specifications.
- Experience supporting packaging trials and implementation within manufacturing.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
- The confidence to work with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
- A genuine interest in packaging innovation and sustainability.
