Sales Trader

Overview

In this front-office role within our Fixed Income team, you will execute and optimize institutional bond trades in real time, supported by data-driven workflows. You’ll collaborate across trading, operations, sales, and technology to ensure accurate outcomes and continuously improve tools. The position combines market interaction with automation, requiring precision, clear communication, and structured problem-solving. You will be at the intersection of markets, systems, and people, delivering efficient trade execution at scale.

Responsibilities

• Agree and execute bond trades for institutional clients using internal pricing frameworks
• Coordinate with trading teams to ensure accurate outcomes across the trade lifecycle
• Manage pre-trade agreement through execution to post-trade processing
• Analyse trading and operational data to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
• Develop scripts and tools to automate workflows and reduce manual steps
• Collaborate with development teams to build scalable processes
• Explain execution outcomes to clients and respond to technical/operational queries
• Coordinate across trading, operations, sales and technology teams

Key requirements

• Strong quantitative problem-solving ability
• Practical programming proficiency
• Comfort with structured datasets
• Ability to build small tools or analytics workflows
• High level of precision and attention to detail
• Fixed Income/Bonds knowledge is beneficial but not required
• Experience in financial markets is beneficial but not required
