Overview

In this Estimator role, you’ll own tender opportunities for a growing main contractor with a focus on public sector projects. You’ll work within a supportive commercial team, developing take-offs and pricing with training on AutoCAD and Bluebeam. The role combines office work with site visits to ensure accurate tender submissions and smooth handover to delivery. It offers progression into senior estimating or pre-construction as you gain experience across education, healthcare and social housing schemes.

Responsibilities

• Manage tenders from invitation to submission for public sector projects
• Perform take-offs from drawings and compile tender pricing and documentation
• Conduct site visits and collaborate with SHEQ and bid support functions
• Coordinate interlocution with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Prepare tender submissions and ensure smooth handover to delivery team
• Travel to sites across London, Kent and Essex; office-based near Sevenoaks

Key requirements

• Experience working on Main Contractor projects
• Confident completing take-offs from drawings
• Proficient with MS Office and Microsoft Project
• Commutable location near Sevenoaks and willing to travel to sites
