Associate Director

Overview

In this senior role, you will shape technology strategy and enterprise architecture for financial services clients, guiding large-scale transformation and modernisation efforts. You’ll collaborate with CIOs, CTOs and senior leaders to define tech visions, roadmaps and governance across banking and capital markets. You’ll combine strategic leadership with hands-on architecture oversight to deliver high-impact programmes. This is a senior opportunity to influence enterprise technology decisions and mentor teams within a growing practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead major client engagements focused on technology strategy, enterprise architecture and digital transformation
• Define technology visions, roadmaps and target-state architectures aligned with business objectives
• Direct architecture teams across complex transformation programmes with governance and assurance
• Advise C-suite and board-level stakeholders on technology modernisation and strategic investments
• Develop architecture governance frameworks, design principles, standards and assurance processes
• Identify and shape new business opportunities and build senior client relationships
• Lead architecture and technology transformation initiatives across banking, capital markets and investment management
• Develop propositions and thought leadership on emerging technologies in financial services
• Mentor and develop architecture teams and grow the wider practice
• Evaluate opportunities to leverage cloud, AI, data analytics, automation and other emerging technologies

Key requirements

• Significant experience in technology strategy, enterprise architecture or large-scale technology transformation within financial services
• Strong understanding of banking, capital markets or investment management, including technology platforms and regulatory considerations
• Experience leading complex transformation programmes and advising senior stakeholders
• Broad architecture experience across applications, data, infrastructure, cloud, security, integration, platforms, DevOps and AI
• Proven track record in client relationship development and business development
• Experience leading architecture teams and establishing governance
• Ability to translate business strategy into practical roadmaps and delivery blueprints
