Asset Officer

Overview

In this Asset Officer role, you will support Lewisham Council’s Stock Investment & Asset Management by ensuring accurate housing stock data, condition information and performance reporting. You will collaborate with surveyors, asset managers and contractors to maintain robust data and inform investment decisions. You contribute to strategic planning through KPI dashboards and compliant asset records. The position blends data mastery with cross‑functional teamwork in a mission‑driven council environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect, maintain and validate stock attribute and condition data
• Generate performance reports and KPI dashboards for senior stakeholders
• Support stock condition survey programmes and collaborate with internal teams and external surveyors
• Maintain and reconcile asset databases with housing management systems
• Support investment planning and compliance activities
• Work with cross‑functional teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency

Key requirements

• Understanding of housing asset management principles
• Experience managing, validating and analysing large asset/stock condition datasets
• Experience producing performance reports for senior stakeholders
• Ability to collaborate with surveyors, asset managers, compliance teams and contractors
• Strong data management skills, especially Excel, and data reconciliation with management systems
