Senior E,C & I Engineer

Overview

In this senior EC&I role, you will lead the design of control and instrumentation deliverables for water projects, including control philosophy, FDS, SLDs, CBDs, schedules, loop drawings and cable calculations. You will interact directly with clients, helping to secure and shape business opportunities while ensuring high-quality delivery. You’ll mentor junior engineers and guide multi-discipline design work to meet project goals. This position offers hybrid working with multiple office options and a chance to contribute to large-scale water sector initiatives. Responsibilities

• Produce design deliverables (control philosophy, FDS, SLDs, CBDs, schedules, loop drawings, cable calculations)
• Engage with clients to maintain relationships and support business development
• Provide design leadership and ensure quality of multi-discipline projects in the water sector
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers and graduates
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives

Key requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Chartered or working towards Chartership (IET)
• Proven design management skills with client delivery
• Experience mentoring and supervising junior engineers
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of Trimble ProDesign and AutoCAD
• Experience on multi-discipline design projects within the Water sector
• 5+ years’ experience in an engineering design environment
• HV design, ATEX or SIL design is advantageous but not essential
