AI Engineer

Overview

In this contract, you will lead rapid AI/LLM PoCs to automate a complex data transformation workflow. You will collaborate with stakeholders to map, transform and standardize data, and design auditable processes for a scalable solution. You will deliver practical PoCs on real datasets and advise on the best long-term approach. The engagement is eight weeks, starting immediately, with on-site work in Bristol for the kickoff and conclusion and remote work in between. This role offers a high-impact opportunity to shape an AI-driven data automation solution.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI/LLM tools through rapid PoCs on real datasets
• Automate mapping, standardisation, matching and exception handling
• Design auditable workflows and recommend the best long-term solution

Key requirements

• AI, LLM or intelligent automation delivery experience
• Strong ETL/data transformation skills with tools such as Power Query, Alteryx, OpenRefine and Microsoft Fabric
• Ability to deliver PoCs quickly and engage stakeholders
• Practical, hands-on experience with messy data challenges
