Supply Chain Manager – Forecast Optimisation

Overview

In this role you drive system optimisation for Morrisons’ supply chain, building rules-based algorithms to improve forecast accuracy, automation, and intelligence in ordering, forecasting, and pricing. You own the project plan, manage risks, and champion the vision to deliver high availability and efficiency. You lead a team, guide development priorities, and influence senior stakeholders for right-first-time implementation. This fast-paced, data-driven role shapes the future of our supply chain and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Leadership: motivate and coach team members to build technical competence and functional knowledge
• Strategic Planning: shape the system development plan and set development priorities
• Expert Oversight: act as domain expert across store ordering, supplier ordering, demand forecasting, and pricing
• Stakeholder Influence: present ideas and investment needs to senior stakeholders and plan for implementation
• Operational Excellence: validate forecast improvements to maximise availability and minimise stock and markdowns
• Internal Conscience: balance high-quality model development with business value
