Overview
In this role you will operate specialist airfield transport vehicles and conduct safety-focused inspections to support safe, efficient airport operations. You’ll join a frontline, 4-on/4-off shift team at Heathrow, collaborating with colleagues to maintain high safety standards in a fast-paced environment. You’ll contribute to safe aircraft movement, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of airfield services. This is a hands-on position at a world-leading airport with a strong emphasis on teamwork and safety impact.

Responsibilities
- Operate airfield transport vehicles safely according to procedures and regulations
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles, equipment, and operations to ensure safety standards are met
- Support day-to-day airfield operations while maintaining health and safety
- Collaborate with operational colleagues and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of airfield services
- Identify and report hazards, incidents, and risks and take appropriate action
- Maintain accurate operational records and comply with airport security, airside requirements
Key requirements
- Proven experience operating vehicles in safety-critical or operational environments
- Full UK driving licence; LGV licence highly desirable
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and compliance requirements
- Experience conducting inspections and following procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team
- Excellent communication and proactive, responsible work approach
