Infrastructure Environments Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead a globally distributed infra team to ensure cloud policy compliance and security controls while keeping delivery on track for transition and conversion plans. You’ll partner with local, central and third-party teams, and engage with Audit, Risk and Control to maintain governance and delivery visibility. You’ll support the Cloud Enablement programme office and drive measurable progress for secure, well-supported cloud products across the HSBC estate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cloud compliance management across Group Function Technology CTOi
• Manage operational support and stability of cloud products across the GFT estate
• Lead a globally distributed team of infrastructure FTEs to ensure cloud policy compliance
• Embed adherence to security controls across cloud products and delivery activities
• Shape approach, secure stakeholder buy-in, and manage commitments across initiatives
• Create and track tasks aligned to global strategies and delivery plans
• Build strong relationships with local, central and third-party teams to support delivery
• Run governance with team leads to monitor progress against transition and conversion plans and forecasts

Key requirements

• Strong or advanced knowledge of cloud offerings and products
• Experience in infrastructure management and project delivery including people management
• Strong analytical skills to understand complex technical and business issues
• Solid grounding in cloud design and architecture to support delivery across cloud programmes
• Understanding of Cloud FinOps and Cloudability
• Clear communication to build and maintain effective working relationships with peer groups
• Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
