Logistics Packaging Operative

Overview

In this role you will ensure accurate picking, packing, and dispatch of orders for UK and export customers across the Unistrut, Marco and Flytec ranges. You will work closely with internal sales and the warehouse team to process orders, manage stock, and complete shipping paperwork. The role focuses on timely despatches, stock integrity, and efficient warehouse operations within a busy logistics environment. You’ll contribute to KPIs and play a hands-on part in a collaborative, safety-conscious team with room for development.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack and dispatch orders for UK and export customers
• Process and complete order paperwork and invoicing documents
• Data entry for processing/despatching orders and stock bookings
• Receipt of finished goods and stock updates in the system
• Stock replenishment, cycle counts, and perpetual inventory checks
• Handle loading/unloading with forklift trucks
• Communicate order status to internal sales
• Maintain stock integrity and conduct housekeeping in warehouse and yard areas
• Manage customer collections and returns
• Contribute to KPI achievement and continuous warehouse improvement

Key requirements

• Relevant warehouse experience
• Experience with barcode scanners or similar equipment
• Experience with stock checks and perpetual inventory
• Ability to use IT systems and perform data entry
• Good people and communication skills
• Experience operating forklift trucks (FM) preferred
• Knowledge of paperwork and documentation for orders
• Awareness of stock security and accuracy
