MMIC Layout Engineer

Overview

In this role you will contribute to MMIC layout and reticle design within a UK-based semiconductor team. You’ll collaborate with mask manufacturers, customers and cross-functional engineers to ensure timely reticle development aligned with project goals. The role supports design and mask release reviews and offers growth opportunities in a rapidly expanding company. You will work on IC/mask design challenges and help shape production-ready layouts in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide layout support for IC and mask design
• Coordinate with mask manufacturers, customers, engineers and programme managers to meet timelines
• Participate in design and mask release reviews related to layout
• Assist in reticle development activities to ensure quality and efficiency
• Support cross-functional teams to resolve layout-related issues
• Contribute to process improvements in layout workflows

Key requirements

• Qualification in Physics/Electronic or Electrical Engineering (or related field)
• Familiarity with CAD layout software (KLayout, Ledit, NAZCA-Design or similar)
• Excellent mathematical skills
• Strong teamwork ethos and eagerness to learn
• British passport for security clearance
