Staff AI Technology Specialist

Overview

In this role you help build Arm’s AI Platform by understanding how engineers use AI, evaluating and prototyping safe AI patterns, and owning Arm’s OpenAI toolset for engineering. You will support production incidents and contribute to a roadmap that enables safe, scalable AI across Arm’s software, hardware, and platform workflows. You’ll translate emerging AI trends into practical platform capabilities and deliver demos and reference implementations. This is a collaborative, technical role with a strong emphasis on hands-on prototyping, governance, and ecosystem alignment.

Responsibilities

• Understand AI use cases and industry trends to identify needs across software, hardware, and engineering workflows
• Evaluate, prototype and demonstrate safe AI patterns (skills, agents, RAG pipelines, MCP gateways, etc.) and build demos/reference implementations
• Own and evolve Arm’s OpenAI tooling (Codex, ChatGPT, OpenAI APIs, AI Gateway); manage releases, integrations, and secure configuration; support engineering users with guidance and enablement materials

Key requirements

• Strong software engineering skills with ability to build prototypes and integrations
• Knowledge of AI tooling and vendor landscape; curiosity and discernment about ecosystem direction
• Strong practical experience with Codex and OpenAI APIs
• Good understanding of AI safety, governance, privacy, security, evaluation, observability, and lifecycle in an enterprise context
