Domestic Heating Engineer

Overview

In this role you will work as a Gas Safe registered Domestic Heating Engineer across South East London and North Kent, delivering reliable heating services for a mature, customer-focused plumbing company. You will manage your own jobs with support from the Operations team, tackling servicing, repairs, installations, and safety checks to ensure high standards. Responsibilities

• Carrying out boiler servicing and maintenance
• Diagnosing breakdowns and fault finding
• Carrying out boiler repairs and component replacement
• Installing and replacing boilers
• Central heating repairs and fault finding
• Landlord Gas Safety Checks
• Boiler commissioning and testing
• Planned preventative maintenance
• Identifying remedial works
• Providing professional advice to customers
• Managing your own jobs with support from the Operations team to ensure high-quality delivery

Key requirements

• 3+ years’ experience as a domestic Heating Engineer
• Current Gas Safe Registration with domestic qualifications
• Strong knowledge of domestic boilers and central heating systems
• Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
• Proven experience in boiler servicing, repairs and installations
• Solid understanding of gas safety and health & safety requirements
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload
• Full UK driving licence
• Experience with Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Baxi and Ideal boilers is desirable
• Experience with unvented hot water systems and heating upgrades is advantageous
