Non-Contentious Construction Lawyer

Overview

In this role you will support a market-leading, non-contentious Construction team in London, advising on complex UK and international development matters. You work with developers, funders and asset managers across the full project lifecycle, from structuring and procurement to delivery of contracts. You will negotiate construction contracts, perform due diligence, and advise on risk and building safety, collaborating with Partners and cross-functional teams. You shape major projects while supervising junior lawyers and contributing to business development. This is a chance to join a highly regarded team handling significant, innovative real estate work.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate construction contracts (including JCT amendments), appointments and warranties
• Provide construction due diligence on real estate transactions
• Contribute to development agreement negotiations
• Advise on construction risk and evolving building safety legislation
• Manage own matters with supervision and collaborate with Partners on major projects
• Support cross-functional collaboration with Real Estate, Funds, Finance and Disputes
• Supervise junior Solicitors and support business development

Key requirements

• Experience level: Mid Senior (3-7+ years)
• PQE: 1-3 years, 4-6 years
• Advisory and transactional construction law exposure in real estate contexts
