IT- Infrastructure Engineer

Overview

In this role you help plan, operate and secure the firm’s core IT infrastructure. You will be the first escalation point for infrastructure issues and work across end-user platforms, cloud services and network components to keep services running smoothly. You’ll partner with IT security and Service Desk to resolve incidents and implement improvements. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role in a forward‑looking, ESG‑minded firm where technology enables safer, more efficient delivery of projects.

Responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft 365, Intune and Entra ID including Teams and telephony
• Manage patching and software deployment
• Support Azure Virtual Desktop
• Assist with network switching, wireless and firewall infrastructure
• Diagnose connectivity, performance and VPN issues
• Perform routine network and firewall changes
• Collaborate with Service Desk on escalated incidents and knowledge transfer
• Triaging infrastructure alerts and incidents
• Support Windows Server and Active Directory
• Maintain technical documentation and runbooks

Key requirements

• Proven experience in infrastructure engineering or advanced 2nd/3rd line role
• Strong Microsoft 365, Intune and Entra ID administration
• Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN) and troubleshooting
• Experience with enterprise switching and firewall platforms
• Experience supporting Windows desktop and server environments (on-prem and cloud)
• PowerShell scripting experience
• Structured troubleshooting approach and issue resolution
• Security-conscious approach to infrastructure administration
