Biomedical Scientist in Microbiology

Hourly Rate: £17-26
We are currently seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Microbiology to join our client’s team in Gloucester. This is a full-time, ongoing position working core hours only, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-established laboratory service.
Key Responsibilities
- You will perform culture, identification, and sensitivity testing of clinical specimens. You will detect bacterial infections using manual and automated techniques.
Qualifications and Experience
- – HCPC registration
- – Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
- – Experience in Microbiology within a clinical laboratory
- – Experience with culture and sensitivity testing
- – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- – Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- – NHS experience (preferred)
