Staff Technical Lead Manager

Overview

As Technical Lead and People Manager for the Identity Engine team, you will steer LiveRamp’s first-party identity resolution platform. You’ll guide backend work, orchestration across GCP and AWS, and enable clients to build a first-party identity graph quickly. You’ll align engineering and product roadmaps, mentor engineers, and uphold quality at scale. This role blends leadership with hands-on technical work and a central strategic impact on identity infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Define technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for Identity Engine
• Lead a high-performing engineering team and foster excellence
• Oversee data preparation, resolution, and export capabilities at scale
• resolve cross-team issues and ensure timely delivery when dependencies exist
• Engage in 12-month product planning and roadmap alignment with Product Management
• Act as primary technical liaison for Product Management
• Identify and hire strategic skills to boost the engineering organization
• Maintain a significant IC component (~50% time) focusing on architecture and code quality reviews

Key requirements

• 2+ years of leadership experience with proven delivery as technical lead
• 8+ years of hands-on development experience, preferably Java or JVM languages
• Experience driving complex designs, API/interface design, and architectural improvements across multiple teams
• Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to talent identification at Staff level or above
• Strong communication skills
