Overview

In this role you will deliver accurate estimates and cost plans for infrastructure projects, partnering with a cross-functional team within the Estimating Hub. You will manage the estimating process at project level, support data sharing and promote estimating best practices. The position supports major programmes across Birmingham and Nottingham, with potential regional or national scope. This is a client-facing, impact-driven role in a growth-focused consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate estimates and cost plans in a timely manner
• Control and manage the project-level estimating process
• Prepare estimates with minimal supervision
• Assist in gathering and sharing estimating data
• Support development and promotion of estimating good practice
• Contribute to department objectives
• Stay updated on technical developments to provide best-practice advice

Key requirements

• Qualified to high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with proven experience
• Experience delivering estimating or QS services in large project environments
• Experience with estimating software packages
• Chartered status or working towards membership in a relevant professional body
• Desirable membership of RICS / CIOB / ACostE
