Senior Mechanical Engineer – Building Services

Overview

In this role you will lead mechanical design for building projects across sectors in ANZ, delivering high-quality, cost-effective HVAC and building services solutions. You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams and senior engineers to ensure cohesive design, documentation, and client outcomes. You’ll mentor graduates and juniors while building strong internal and client relationships to drive successful projects. Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design packages for key client projects, focusing on HVAC and building services
• Ensure high-quality engineering outcomes across calculations, specs, and detailed design documentation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated solutions on complex building projects
• Work with senior engineers and project leaders to ensure integrated design delivery
• Provide guidance and mentorship to graduate and junior engineers
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and clients to support project success and repeat business

Key requirements

• Chartered Engineer with professional registration or working towards chartership; equivalent recognition considered
• Up to 9+ years’ experience in Building Services consultancy or substantial mechanical design experience
• Proven track record in mechanical engineering design and project delivery across building services
• Strong understanding of Building Services systems and Australian Standards; ability to advise clients and teams
• Experience delivering multiple projects simultaneously across sectors
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; collaborative mindset
• Australian Citizenship preferred
