Director – National Infrastructure Planning

Overview

As Director of National Infrastructure Planning, you will lead Savills’ infrastructure planning capability across the UK, shaping nationally significant projects in energy transition and renewables. You will win and deliver complex Planning Act 2008 (DCO)–led schemes while influencing policy and industry direction. You’ll work with leading experts to grow a market-facing, multi-disciplinary team and drive the UK’s infrastructure and net-zero agenda. This is a growth leadership role with a clear impact on strategy, delivery, and industry leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow Savills’ national infrastructure planning capability in the UK
• Win and deliver complex planning projects, particularly under Planning Act 2008 (DCO) procedures
• Influence policy and industry direction in infrastructure, energy transition, and renewables
• Work alongside experts in environmental planning, sustainability, land, and CPO
• Shape and expand the infra planning offer to support growth and market leadership

Key requirements

• Significant experience with Planning Act 2008 (DCO) procedures
• Strong leadership experience at director level or similar
• Ability to win and deliver complex planning projects in a market-facing environment
