Overview

As a Senior Principal Dams Engineer, you will lead technical solutions across complex dam projects, ensuring delivery meets cost, schedule, and quality targets. You will work within a collaborative Dams team on front-end design through design-and-build, for both new reservoirs and maintenance schemes. You’ll apply deep dam engineering expertise to address hydraulic stresses and hydropower challenges while coordinating with multi-disciplinary professionals. Responsibilities

• Provide technical solutions and advice across dam projects to meet cost, schedule, and quality standards
• Ensure design and construction deliverables align with project goals and client expectations
• Contribute to from-front-end design to design-and-build for reservoirs both new and maintenance
• Lead dam engineering work focusing on hydraulic stresses and hydropower aspects
• Coordinate with civil engineers and other technical professionals to achieve holistic outcomes
• Support business development and delivery under AMP8-related frameworks and partnerships

Key requirements

• Chartered status with IEI, ICE, or CIWEM
• Extensive experience in dam engineering, hydraulic stresses and hydropower
• Supervising Engineer accreditation (preferred) with potential support to achieve it
• Previous consultancy experience and experience managing civil engineers and coordinating with specialists
