Technical Coordinator

Overview

As Technical Coordinator you will bridge external consultants and internal teams across design and construction to keep projects on track. You will secure approvals and ensure information flow to enable prompt site starts, while upholding Life of Site processes. The role emphasizes collaboration, attention to detail, and proactive problem solving in a residential housing context. This is an opportunity to shape technical delivery on site and contribute to a values-driven, quality-focused team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical information between external consultants and internal departments throughout design and construction
• Ensure approvals are obtained and information is issued for a prompt start on site
• Chair design team meetings and contribute to progress meetings on site
• Coordinate the planning process and address conditions prior to site start
• Agree construction specifications, SAP and BREEAM strategy for the project
• Coordinate Building Control, warranties and supporting documentation
• Liaise with consultants to progress technical matters and assist commercial teams with subcontractor design information
• Maintain current drawings/documents on the Viewpoint Platform
• Review contracts, warranties and bond requirements with Contracts Manager
• Apply for statutory approvals and coordinate temporary works designs
• Attend site visits to resolve construction issues and anticipate regulatory changes

Key requirements

• Current UK driving license
• Proven experience in Architecture / Civil Engineering
• Experience in residential housing sector
• Proficient in regulatory approvals (S38, S278 & S104)
• Project management and supervision skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to challenge decisions and communicate across all levels
• Flexible, quick learner with focus on continuous development
• Knowledge of design coordination and liaising between departments
