Development Finance Originator

Overview

In this Lending Director role, you own the origination and end-to-end delivery of high-quality property development loans. You will build intermediary and developer relationships, structure lending proposals, and drive transactions from assessment to completion. You’ll collaborate with Credit, Legal, Finance and Development Monitoring teams to manage risk and execution. This is an autonomous, growth-focused position at a leading UK property lender with a strong track record.

Responsibilities

• Originate lending opportunities through relationships with intermediaries and direct developer contacts
• Assess, structure and due diligence on property development lending proposals within credit, pricing and risk parameters
• Prepare and present detailed credit applications with risk and commercial rationale
• Drive transactions through credit approval, legal documentation and completion, staying involved through loan lifecycle

Key requirements

• Significant experience originating and executing property development finance transactions
• Experience structuring lending proposals and producing detailed credit applications within an established credit framework
• Experience managing property lending transactions from initial assessment to completion
