AI Engineer

Overview

In this role you will design and develop innovative AI projects, guiding them from evaluation to production. You will work across a cross-functional team to deliver scalable AI solutions, applying best software practices and DevOps to ensure automation and reliability. You’ll identify new AI use cases, optimize models for performance and security, and expand your expertise across projects, including potential infrastructure improvements for AI workloads. Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative AI projects to solve complex problems
• Oversee full lifecycle of AI applications from evaluation to production operations
• Follow standard software development practices (version control, testing, DevOps); build conversational UIs and provide REST APIs
• Identify and evaluate new AI use cases and integrate them into business processes
• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and software developers to scale AI solutions
• Evaluate and optimize AI models for performance, scalability, accuracy, and security
• Explore opportunities to apply knowledge across areas (e.g., cloud/on-prem optimizations for AI workloads)

Key requirements

• Solid background in software development
• Experience with generative AI, machine learning, or data-driven projects
• Proficiency in Python, Java, TypeScript, and Go
• Experience with REST APIs and databases
• Understanding of generative AI methodologies (RAG, fine-tuning, agents, reasoning workflows)
• Ability to plan architecture with automation, stability, and maintainability in mind
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure or AWS), data science, Kubernetes; front-end development is a plus
• Strong communication skills; able to work in a team and share knowledge
