Overview

As an Insolvency Litigation Solicitor you will join a reputable Dispute Resolution team to handle complex insolvency and bankruptcy matters for high‑net‑worth clients. You will advise office holders, directors, creditors and debtors, with a mix of contentious and advisory work. The role covers corporate and personal insolvency, director disqualification, administrations, and asset realisation, with opportunities to engage in hearings and client meetings. You will develop your specialist insolvency practice within a supportive, commercially focused environment and build long‑term client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Advise on corporate and personal insolvency matters, including administrations, pre-pack sales, winding-up and bankruptcy petitions
• Act for insolvency office holders, directors, creditors and debtors in contentious and advisory work
• Handle antecedent transactions, director disqualification and asset realisation
• Attend hearings, mediations, conferences, and client meetings
• Develop own client relationships and professional profile within a specialist practice
• Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team with a practical, commercial approach
• Utilise strong drafting, analytical and legal research skills to support cases

Key requirements

• Qualified Solicitor with 1–5 years’ PQE
• Experience in insolvency litigation and Court procedures (Insolvency and Companies Court, County Courts)
• Experience handling insolvency and bankruptcy matters
• Strong drafting, analytical and legal research skills
• Excellent client care, communication and organisational abilities
• Commercial, proactive problem-solver with ability to build client relationships
• Willingness to develop a specialist insolvency practice and participate in business development
