Associate Technical Specialist – Sample Management

Overview

In this role you enable efficient laboratory operations to accelerate drug discovery. You will operate and maintain automated platforms, support sample management and protocol development, and ensure accurate documentation and safety. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and drive continuous improvement in a regulated, quality-focused environment. This is a hands-on position at the forefront of laboratory automation and sample management within IQVIA’s discovery sciences team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain automated platforms (Echo, Tecan, Janus, Beckman, HighRes, Mosquito, SmartCell, Hamilton Tube Store)
• Support liquid handling protocol development and routine sample management
• Complete SAP transactions and maintain accurate laboratory documentation
• Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to continuous improvement
• Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards

Key requirements

• BSc in scientific discipline
• Laboratory experience from academia or industry
• Strong problem-solving, communication and data handling skills
• Good IT literacy and interest in automation technologies
• Pharma/biotech/CRO experience and knowledge of liquid handling automation is advantageous
