Overview

In this role, you will develop alphas and utilization algorithms within WorldQuant Brain, a global crowdsourcing platform. You will conduct research on quantitative finance literature and identify new domains to grow the research program. You’ll also contribute to platform improvements and run training initiatives for BRAIN users, collaborating with strategy and operations teams. The role offers the chance to impact global markets through innovative, data-driven research in a collaborative, results-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop alphas and utilization algorithms on BRAIN
• Research academic quantitative finance literature and identify new domains
• Design and test new functionalities and datasets on BRAIN
• Analyze platform functionality, diagnose issues, and propose solutions
• Support business development with strategy partners, and deliver training sessions
• Prepare and update training curriculum for BRAIN

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in engineering, science, mathematics, finance or related quantitative field
• Programming experience in Java/C++/C/Python/MySQL/SQL Server
• Knowledge of UNIX
• Research mindset, self-starter, creative and persevering
• Interest in worldwide financial markets
• Good English communication and presentation skills
• Familiarity with using BRAIN (preferred)
