Back End Engineering Specialist

Overview

In this Back End Engineer role, you will support manufacturing sites across EMEA and globally to drive process improvements, installations, and best practices. You will maintain and optimise back-end production equipment while supporting innovation, cost reduction, and operational excellence. You will collaborate with plants, suppliers, and engineering teams to deliver solutions and share knowledge, shaping a more efficient manufacturing ecosystem. This position offers meaningful impact through continuous improvement and cross-functional partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for projects and process improvements
• Support installations, audits, and efficiency initiatives
• Drive maintenance standards and best practices
• Deliver technical support and training to plant teams
• Identify root causes and implement effective solutions
• Manage small-scale plant projects
• Collaborate with plants, suppliers, and engineering teams
• Produce clear and timely site visit reports

Key requirements

• Mechanical Engineering qualification (or equivalent)
• Knowledge of concorde machine
• Strong knowledge of back-end manufacturing processes
• Proven problem-solving and process improvement skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
• Strong MS Office skills
• Fluent English (additional languages are a plus)
• Self-motivated team player
