Overview

As a DATACOM SME at NTT DATA, you will provide technical leadership in enterprise networking to design, implement, and optimize complex data communication infrastructures. You will collaborate with security, cloud, and operations teams to ensure high availability, performance, and secure connectivity. You will lead network modernization initiatives and drive best-practice standards across LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and data center networking. This role offers impact through scalable networking solutions that support our clients’ digital transformations and secure, reliable operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure solutions
• Serve as SME for LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and data center networking technologies
• Lead network transformation and modernization initiatives
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and optimization
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and drive root cause analysis
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Cloud, and Application teams for seamless connectivity
• Support network security implementations including firewalls, NAC, segmentation, and secure access
• Develop network architecture, standards, procedures, and technical documentation
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes
• Evaluate new networking technologies and recommend continuous improvements

Key requirements

• 8+ years in Network Infrastructure and Enterprise Networking
• Experience designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting large-scale networks
• Hands-on with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Huawei, Fortinet, or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, DNS, DHCP
• Understanding of Data Center networking architectures
• Experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
• Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery concepts
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior engineers
