Senior Manager, AI Architect

Overview

As AI Architect within Baringa’s Solutions & AI Lab, you shape end-to-end AI platform architectures for enterprise-scale deployments. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, win and design engagements, and drive client outcomes with deep technical and commercial insight. You’ll balance technical excellence with delivery pragmatism, guiding production-ready AI solutions in complex environments. This role offers the chance to influence AI strategy across industries and grow our AI architecture and solutions engineering practice. Responsibilities

• Own and lead architecture of complex AI and data transformation programmes end-to-end, including opportunity shaping, solution design, delivery governance, and team leadership.
• Lead and resource multi-disciplinary delivery teams (architects, engineers, data scientists, consultants) with clear direction and oversight.
• Forecast engagement resourcing, staff engagements with practice leadership, and mentor junior practitioners to build the talent pipeline.
• Identify and manage delivery and architectural risks in complex stakeholder environments, maintaining client confidence.
• Communicate architectural concepts clearly to technical teams and senior client stakeholders, with actionable recommendations.
• Conduct architecture and design reviews and ensure engineering standards are upheld across engagements.
• Act as trusted advisor to client architects, CTOs, and engineering leads, building senior client relationships and navigating competing priorities.
• Shape business development: identify opportunities, contribute to proposals, and support go-to-market positioning for AI architecture and solutions engineering.

Key requirements

• 7+ years in technology consulting, architecture, or AI/ML engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or lead-architect role
• Proven ability to architect enterprise AI platforms across Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, AWS, and GCP
• Working understanding of integration with SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow and other systems of record
• Hands-on knowledge of agentic AI, LLM gateways, MCP, RAG/CRAG, agent harnesses, evaluations and guardrails, and AI observability
• Experience designing and leading data & AI transformation programmes and building high-performing teams in complex stakeholder environments (CTO, CDAO, engineering director level)
• Bid and proposal experience, including writing technical and architecture sections for tenders and RFPs
• Clear, confident communicator capable of making complex ideas accessible to technical and non-technical audiences
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science or related discipline, or equivalent depth through certifications
