Overview

As an AI Researcher on the HAIL team, you will push the development of our foundation models for markets. You will work in a small, focused group with high autonomy, supported by top-tier compute and engineering teams. Your work directly shapes how data features, architectures, and training dynamics influence trading decisions. You will tackle challenging problems at the intersection of AI and markets, contributing to high-impact outcomes. Responsibilities

• Improve data featurization for market inputs
• Design and refine model architectures
• Advance training dynamics and optimization methods
• Shape how trading decisions are generated from models
• Pursue impactful research directions with independence
• Collaborate with engineering and hardware teams to operationalize research

Key requirements

• Two or more years of deep learning research experience in any domain
• Ability to translate methods across domains
• LLM experience valued but not required
• Strong engineering skills in GPU kernel development, PyTorch/JAX, C++, FPGA/ASIC, or HPC
