Associate, Revenue and Billing Operations

Overview

In this role you will ensure accurate revenue accounting and robust balance sheet controls within Checkout.com’s Revenue and Billing Operations. You’ll partner with Finance leadership, provide commentary on net revenue and balance sheet position, and support group audits. You’ll design and improve revenue and balance sheet recording processes, documenting procedures for junior staff. The position offers exposure to cross-functional collaboration and process automation in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for various accounts and post manual correction journals
• Business partner with Finance leadership, delivering commentary on net revenue performance and balance sheet position
• Support the group audit for the revenue and billing operations team
• Create and document new revenue and balance sheet processes, and guide junior staff
• Improve reporting and processes to meet stakeholder needs and ensure robust controls for period-end close and audit
• Enhance data integrity and quality, pursue automation, and strengthen controls
• Perform accounting and reconciliation across key trading account balances
• Analyze and reconcile data from multiple systems to identify control gaps and reconciliation breaks
• Participate in ad hoc projects as required

Key requirements

• ACCA or CIMA or equivalent professional finance qualification
• At least six years of progressive finance experience including month-end reporting
• At least three years’ experience with balance sheet reconciliations
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, Product, Engineering, Data and remote teams
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
• Experience with revenue month-end and ASC606/ IFRS 15
• Strong data analysis and Excel data modeling; exposure to AI automation tools
• Experience in fast-paced, changing environments and high-volume, complex settings
• ERP systems experience (Workday preferred)
• Experience in Payments/FinTech or Financial Services regulatory environment
