Associate Director / Technical Director

Overview

In this role you will lead the Norwich office of a respected building services consultancy, shaping its offerings and mentorship culture. You will work closely with architects to deliver Net Zero and sustainability-focused projects, enhancing client relationships and driving repeat work. You will leverage your experience to guide Senior and Associate engineers and contribute to the office’s growth and progression to Director. This is an opportunity to scale impact within an established multi-office practice that values sustainability and aesthetics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Norwich office, shaping project delivery and team performance
• Mentor Senior and Associate level engineers to grow technical capability
• Manage client relationships and pursue repeat business opportunities
• Collaborate with architects and other stakeholders on Net Zero and sustainability-focused projects
• Contribute to strategic growth and succession planning within the office
• Support high-quality design with emphasis on sustainability and aesthetics

Key requirements

• Experience in building services design with leadership responsibilities
• Proven ability to mentor and develop engineering teams
• Strong client relationship management and business development mindset
• Track record in delivering Net Zero or sustainable building projects
