Commercial Property Lawyer (3+ PQE) – Exeter

Overview

In this role you will advise a diverse client base on commercial property matters, spanning acquisitions, development, leases, and lending. You will operate within the Exeter Real Estate team, supporting growth and maintaining key client relationships while collaborating with surveyors, accountants, and lenders. There is scope to contribute to business development and to mentor junior colleagues in a collaborative, well-connected firm. Responsibilities

• Advise clients on a broad range of commercial property matters
• Manage buying/selling of freehold properties
• Handle land acquisition and development work
• Oversee commercial leases and landlord/tenant issues
• Assist on secured lending transactions
• Maintain strong client relationships and support firm growth
• Collaborate with professionals (surveyors, accountants, lenders)
• Supervise or mentor junior team members and contribute to business development initiatives

Key requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or FCILEx with 3+ years’ PQE
• Solid experience across commercial property matters
• Capable of managing own caseload independently
• Strong communication and client-focused approach
• Team player with initiative
• Interest in business development and relationship building
• Experience supervising or supporting junior colleagues (desirable)
