SoC Validation Engineer

Overview

In this role, you validate complex SoCs across pre- and post-silicon stages to ensure performance and system integration. You collaborate with System Definition, IC Design, and Software teams to drive robust validation from FPGA prototypes to final devices. The role supports a global space-based mobile broadband mission, translating silicon decisions into reliable hardware for space and terrestrial use. You will shape validation strategies, improve coverage, and deliver clear validation reports that enable sign-off.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with System Definition and IC Design to optimize ball placement and external components for PCB/system compatibility
• Define and specify lab equipment and infrastructure for thorough testing
• Perform validation bring-up using FPGA prototypes before IC manufacture
• Create comprehensive validation test plans covering hardware, software, and RF aspects
• Execute manual and planned validation activities with fault isolation and debugging
• Develop and implement regression and automation procedures to boost efficiency and coverage
• Produce clear validation reports for technical review and sign-off
• Support board-level bring-up and debugging with hardware and software teams

Key requirements

• 4+ years of relevant industry experience
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment: spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, network analyzers
• Proficiency in scripting/programming: Python, Perl, C, or C++
• Strong verbal communication and technical documentation skills
• Experience working across multidisciplinary teams
