Senior Project Manager with Business development experience- onshore wind

Overview

In this role you lead Owners Engineering for onshore wind projects in the UK and Ireland, driving multi-disciplinary teams to deliver development, construction, and repowering initiatives. You’ll work closely with clients to win work and expand Ramboll’s onshore wind services, while collaborating with global experts to solve complex project challenges. The role offers autonomy, site visits, and a path to shape Ramboll’s UK wind advisory capability. You’ll contribute to sustainable energy growth within a supportive, collaborative culture.

Responsibilities

• Manage onshore wind scopes including Owners Engineering in the UK (potentially broader geographies)
• Lead projects across the lifecycle from origination and feasibility to construction and repowering
• Direct multi-discipline teams (civil, electrical, environmental, procurement) to deliver technical and commercial outcomes
• Coordinate tender proposals with input from experts and junior consultants to ensure commercial attractiveness
• Support Head of Business Development with UK onshore sales, lead generation and client relationship building

Key requirements

• Significant experience in project managing onshore wind farms including design, procurement, development and construction management
• Strong understanding of drivers for technical and commercial project success
• Experience in business development and client engagement
• Self-starter capable of balancing multiple projects and client demands
• Proven ability to build long-term client relationships
