Project Manager – Fire

Overview

In this role, you will manage fixed fire protection projects on military vessels within the Global Marine & Navy Fire Team in Manchester. You’ll coordinate deliverables, procurement, and shipping documentation while serving as the main client contact and contract owner. You’ll drive project plans, financial controls, and timely delivery, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet Navy and MoD requirements. This is a hands-on, client-facing opportunity that combines technical interpretation with program leadership in a defense-focused context.

Responsibilities

• Interpret client specifications and commercial docs
• Organize deliverable packages and resourcing with design managers
• Obtain supplier quotes and procure equipment
• Arrange shipping and generate shipping documentation
• Daily collaboration with project team and customer
• Manage contract/project plan (MS Project)
• Be main client contact and primary contract liaison
• Provide financial oversight: revenue forecasts, cost control, progress reports
• Ensure on-time delivery within budget and client satisfaction
• Travel within the UK and potentially overseas

Key requirements

• Project Management experience
• Excellent communication skills with clients and internal teams
• Experience interpreting technical specifications
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Full UK Driving Licence
• SC UK MOD Security clearance (sponsored by employer)
