Applied AI Engineer

Overview

In this role you will design, build and productionize AI-powered features within a modern C#/.NET stack. You’ll integrate LLMs and Generative AI into customer-facing products and develop scalable APIs that deliver real business value. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deploy reliable AI capabilities, implement guardrails, and monitor performance at scale. This is a hands-on, product-focused role in a company investing in AI and aiming to shape its AI strategy within an established software business.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-powered features within a C#/.NET application stack
• Integrate LLMs and Generative AI into customer-facing products
• Build RAG pipelines with vector databases and semantic search
• Develop APIs and backend services to support AI functionality at scale
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Data teams to deliver intelligent capabilities
• Evaluate AI outputs, improve reliability and implement guardrails and monitoring

Key requirements

• Strong commercial backend experience in C# and .NET
• Experience integrating AI or LLMs into production software
• Knowledge of RAG, embeddings, prompt engineering and vector search
• Experience building scalable cloud-based applications on Azure
• Interest in Applied AI and real-world product problems
