Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Overview

In this role, you will ensure safe and efficient operation of production equipment through planned and reactive maintenance, diagnosing faults and implementing corrective actions. You will support compliance and operational excellence while contributing to continuous improvement and engineering projects in a collaborative environment. This position sits within Catalent’s Swindon site, a hub for Zydis development, manufacturing, and analytical services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain reliability and drive engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment to deliver an effective maintenance schedule and improve reliability based on run hours
• Perform maintenance tasks to enhance reliability of engineering equipment
• Collaborate with production personnel to improve handling and installation/removal of tooling and ancillary equipment
• Assist with machine breakdown issues and provide engineering solutions and project management support as required

Key requirements

• Apprenticeship in a relevant field or proven experience
• Detailed understanding of engineering issues and improvement processes
• Analytical thinker able to assess requirements and select best approach
• Ability to influence and collaborate at all levels to achieve targets
• Professional representation of the company on the floor and in office settings
• Accessible to manufacturing floor and office staff and proficient with required office equipment
