Creative Development Executive – Scripted, UK Series

Overview

In this role you will support the full lifecycle of original scripted series, from sourcing to release. You will work with the UK Series team to drive development, production, and post-production activities, leveraging your scripting and production experience. You will react quickly to unfolding situations, solve complex problems, and coordinate with multiple departments to move projects forward. This is a fast-paced, collaborative role that offers a strong chance to shape new TV narratives within a major studio. You will operate at the intersection of development, creative feedback, and cross-team collaboration, contributing to the studio’s slate of ambitious scripted projects.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate script quality and provide creative feedback
• Track writers and directors
• Identify and assess pilot proposals, scripts, and pitches
• Collaborate with senior executives and writers on story and script development
• Support all creative aspects of development, production and post-production
• Serve as liaison between the UK Series department and Casting, Production, Marketing, Press, Research, Business and Legal Affairs

Key requirements

• Experience in content creation or copy editing
• Experience working with other departments (casting, production, research, PR, business and legal affairs)
• Experience as a producer, creative executive, or similar role
• Knowledge of the television and media industry
• Multiple years of experience in scripted series development and/or production

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Established industry relationships
• Ability to work with urgency and manage tight deadlines
• Attention to detail
• Excellent organization and multitasking
• Adaptability and ability to switch gears
