Associate Director, Patent Box R&D

Overview

In this role you will lead client-facing projects in Deloitte’s Innovation Tax Services, focusing on identifying and quantifying R&D and Patent Box claims. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, build client relationships, and drive business development to grow the practice. You’ll prepare technical reports for HMRC and shape market eminence while contributing to cross-functional initiatives. Responsibilities

• Lead projects and act as main point of contact with senior stakeholders (financial controllers, FDs, CFOs)
• Build market eminence and identify opportunities to grow the team
• Develop internal networks to broaden client relationships and differentiate Deloitte
• Collaborate within project teams to ensure robust R&D/Patent Box claims and strong client relationships
• Prepare clear HMRC submission reports detailing R&D and Patent Box claims
• Provide technical input to marketing and sales activities based on location/sector experience
• Contribute to an inclusive, diverse team culture and delegate effectively across teams
• Project manage multiple engagements and coordinate with technical and finance colleagues
