Technical Architect (Salesforce)

Overview

In this role you design enterprise-grade Salesforce architectures and integrate them with wider enterprise systems across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments. You act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, shaping Digital, Data and AI strategies while ensuring compliance and performance. You will lead or contribute to end-to-end solution design, from concept to technical detail, driving value through innovative Salesforce integrations and AI-enabled capabilities. Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solution and integration architectures across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments
• Lead the architecture and design of Salesforce-based solutions (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud) ensuring scalability, security and compliance
• Define and govern Salesforce integration patterns with legacy, cloud and third-party platforms using APIs, middleware and modern integration technologies
• Contribute to Digital, Data and AI strategies leveraging Salesforce, generative/agentic AI and emerging tech to drive innovation
• Collaborate with product teams, enterprise architects and delivery teams to define architecture standards and roadmaps
• Review and assure designs for alignment with functional, non-functional, and regulatory requirements
• Facilitate architecture workshops and act as a trusted technical advisor to senior stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to optimise platforms, improve customer experiences, and reduce cost and risk

Key requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent commercial experience
• Proven track record in designing and delivering Salesforce solution architectures in enterprise-scale environments
• Deep understanding of Salesforce platform and its integration with enterprise applications using APIs, middleware and cloud technologies
• Solid grasp of solution architecture principles and non-functional requirements (performance, security, resilience, compliance)
• Experience in regulated industries such as Financial Services or healthcare/defence/utilities/government
• Salesforce certifications (Application Architect, System Architect, CTA) are highly desirable
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive, self-directed learner with a growth mindset and eligibility for UK SC Clearance
