Apply for the Business Manager
Location: London
Job Description:

Our client, a global alternative investment firm, is hiring a Business Manager to sit at the heart of its International Operations function. This is a high-visibility role for someone who thrives on bringing structure to complex, cross-regional work and partnering with senior leadership to get things done.

THE OPPORTUNITY

International Operations supports a broad, cross-regional agenda spanning governance, delivery, capacity planning, operational transparency and strategic execution. Working closely with regional and functional leadership, you’ll coordinate priorities across locations, strengthen oversight and drive consistent execution against international business objectives.

It’s a role for a natural organiser and operator — someone who can take an ambiguous, multi-stakeholder programme, give it structure and ownership, and keep it moving to deadline.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead cross-regional initiatives across International Operations, ensuring clear ownership, timelines, milestones and disciplined delivery tracking
  • Provide business management, coordination and governance support across key operational priorities
  • Drive structured reporting, action tracking and senior stakeholder updates to improve transparency and execution
  • Track strategic deliverables end-to-end — capturing progress, risks, dependencies and blockers, and escalating where needed
  • Support a major operations transformation and location-strategy programme, including efficiency delivery, progress tracking and post-transition governance aligned to the target operating model
  • Enhance management-information and activity-tracking tooling to support capacity planning, process alignment, control visibility and operational efficiency
  • Support regional capacity planning, resource and headcount analysis, cost tracking and location strategy
  • Produce high-quality weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting for senior leadership, translating complex operational data into clear insights, risks and recommended actions

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Significant experience in business management, operations strategy, programme governance, project delivery or business analysis — ideally within a hedge fund, investment bank or broader financial-markets environment
  • Strong organisational skills and close attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across regions
  • A proven ability to bring structure to complex or ambiguous workstreams, define clear action plans and drive timely execution
  • Strong analytical capability, with advanced Excel skills and a data-oriented approach to problem-solving and reporting
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to engage senior leadership across functions and regions
  • Solid financial-markets knowledge, including relevant product, instrument, P&L and risk understanding
  • Experience using AI tools effectively in day-to-day work to support analysis, efficiency and execution
  • A proactive, accountable and delivery-focused approach — confident to follow up consistently, challenge constructively and keep initiatives on track
