Job Description:

A well-established UK law firm is looking to recruit a Civil Litigation Paralegal to join its growing legal team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated paralegal looking to develop their career within a busy and supportive litigation environment. The successful candidate will assist with a varied caseload of civil litigation matters and work closely with solicitors and senior fee earners.

Key responsibilities

  • Assisting with the management of a varied civil litigation caseload.
  • Reviewing and preparing legal documentation and correspondence.
  • Conducting legal and factual research.
  • Preparing case files, chronologies and supporting documentation.
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, opposing parties and other third parties.
  • Assisting with the progression of matters through the litigation process.
  • Monitoring deadlines and maintaining accurate case management records.
  • Supporting solicitors with hearings, applications and other procedural matters where required.
  • Providing clients with clear and professional updates.
  • Ensuring all work is completed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with relevant procedures and deadlines.

About you

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working as a paralegal, ideally within civil litigation or a related legal environment.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines.
  • Confidence communicating with clients and third parties.
  • A practical and commercially aware approach.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider legal team.
