At GAP Hire Solutions, we’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused Logistics Administrator to join our growing Tanker Services team based at our Glasgow Head Office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy operational environment, has a strong eye for detail, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service. In this role, you’ll be at the centre of the operation, supporting day-to-day coordination of tanker services across the UK. You’ll play a key role within the logistics function, helping to ensure work is allocated efficiently, customer requirements are managed professionally, and operational administration is completed accurately and on time. The position combines administration, customer service, and operational support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and wants to develop a long-term career within a growing and supportive business.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Raise contracts, allocate work and queries to the correct planners and depots, and manage invoice and customer queries.
- Complete driver and job compliance checks.
- Support the wider operational team with accurate reporting and administration.
- Speak with customers over the phone, providing updates, resolving queries, and ensuring a professional and positive customer experience.
- Create and maintain spreadsheets, compile operational reports, and liaise with colleagues across multiple departments to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of accuracy.
- Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Previous experience and product knowledge in the transport/haulage/waste industry is highly advantageous.
