Principal / Managing Consultant – Europe Energy Permanent Recruitment

Role Focus
This role focuses on delivering senior-level permanent recruitment solutions across the Energy sector throughout Europe. We seek experienced recruiters with a STEM-related background in Energy, Infrastructure, Engineering, IT/Technology, Renewables, Power, Utilities, Manufacturing, or Industrial sectors.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategic client relationships and build long-term partnerships with Energy organisations across Europe.
- Manage permanent recruitment assignments, delivering high-quality permanent and executive-level solutions.
- Lead retained search projects from market mapping to offer negotiation and placement.
- Grow existing business via account development, cross-selling, and market penetration.
- Build new markets by developing client relationships and creating opportunities within identified Energy and Infrastructure markets.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and talent pool intelligence.
- Engage candidates and build strong networks of technical and leadership talent across Europe and global Energy markets.
- Drive business development through targeted strategies, networking, referrals, and industry engagement.
- Negotiate fees, retained agreements, business terms, and recruitment contracts while maintaining profitability.
- Represent NES Fircroft at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings across Europe.
Qualifications
- Minimum 12 months of retained search experience.
- Proven track record within permanent recruitment, executive search, or specialist professional staffing.
- Experience recruiting within Energy, Infrastructure, Engineering, IT/Technology, Manufacturing, Power, Utilities, Renewables, Industrial, Construction, or related technical sectors.
- Successful business development experience securing new clients and generating revenue growth.
- Strong relationship building, influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of retained recruitment models, fee negotiations, pricing strategies, and profitability management.
- Knowledge of European Energy markets and technical recruitment landscapes is highly advantageous.
- Consultative approach to advising clients on talent acquisition and workforce planning.
- Results-driven mindset, track record of exceeding recruitment, revenue, and business development targets.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, ambitious, self-motivated, resilient, and eager to grow a specialist market.
