Major Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well‑established manufacturing business for a Temporary Manufacturing Operative to join their friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a practical, hands‑on approach who enjoys working in a busy manufacturing environment. You’ll be involved in a variety of tasks, making every day different while supporting the production of high‑quality electrical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating copper cutting and punching equipment.
- Mechanical assembly of LV switchgear.
- Measuring, cutting and preparing materials accurately.
- Using hand tools and circular saws safely and effectively.
- Supporting the wider production team with additional manufacturing duties as required.
- Following all health and safety procedures at all times.
What We’re Looking For
- An interest in mechanical assembly and manufacturing.
- Confident using a circular saw.
- Ability to measure and cut materials with precision.
- Experience using hand tools and assembly techniques.
- A strong awareness of workplace health and safety.
- Reliable, hardworking and willing to work overtime during the week and most Saturday mornings when required.
What’s on Offer
- £13.00 per hour.
- Additional £2.00 per hour for overtime.
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm.
- Friday: 7:00 am – 1:30 pm.
- Overtime available.
